Really the only cable you absolutely should not run through a wall is a standard power cable that plugs into an outlet. Now we don t know what the electrical codes are like in your area seriously we don t you have to check for yourself but in most areas you can t just run the power wire through walls. It is perfectly safe to run most cables through a wall. These cables will heat up more than most other cables.

An extension cable to run to an existing outlet. I would like to wall mount my tv and have the wall be as clean as possible. The only power cable you should run behind your wall are ones that come in a code friendly kit. Instead a wall kit will put a power outlet directly behind your tv and run cable safe wire down to a plug where you ll attach an extension cable.

Most are low voltage cables speaker wires rca interconnects and hdmi cable but i want to run three power cords through there too. This will be from the side of the wall that my tv is on to the other side where there is a closet. Use clean good quality cables and you should not have anything to worry about. No cuts tears etc.

I found this box and my idea was to mount this on the back side of that same wall then run the power cable and other cables like ethernet and audio through a hole in the wall to the back where i can plug everything in without having a wire mess in the front.
